THE UNLOVED.
If y’all cast your minds back a couple of weeks, you may remember seeing a photo of the beautiful Lara in a turquoise wig. We did a shoot with her wearing Jack Duffy’s graduate collection (The Unloved) in Hibaldstow, and after alot of faffing and abit of editing, we’ve decided on a first selection of the shoot. We wanted to show a variety of locations, and obviously all of Jack’s rather lovely creations, which you can now see below. Theres alot more photos to come, so keep a weather eye on the horizon my pretties.
Just Once, Little Sister
Portrait type post again! This time the photo’s of my little sister (who is actually two years older than me.). Same sort of setup as the Chris and Lara ones, though it works slightly differently for everyone. Again she wears Caustic hats/headdresses and Jack Duffy Jacket : ) From what I can remember she was pretty cold and ill at the time, even so she looks great and barely related to me!

Caustic Portraits
To the left you will see a portrait we did of award-winning actress Lara Steward in summer. It was actually the first shoot we did in what is going to be our ongoing series of portraits. The portraits will be of anyone and everyone, depending on who will submit to us. It’s a great project for us to do because it enables us to be highly productive both together and apart, though after an initial good start we have slowed somewhat. Hopefully that will be remedied before long. The portraits will follow a similar format to the one of Lara either in colour or Black and white , either way we will be using film, between the previously posted shots of Chris, this one of Lara and the soon to be posted ones of my sister you can see this project will offer us a wealth of possible outcomes. Hopefully lots of lovely people will come enjoy this experience with us.I think really that’s all there is to be said about this for now.
On a different note, I’m feeling distinctly musical, or as musical as you can get when you are me. So I are sharing with you two songs which have caught my attention, firstly a beautiful cover of an Adele song by the beautiful Jay Brannan and secondly a song From Ladytron’s new album, I want it to be featured in the soundtrack of the film of my life (I nominate Su Pollard to play me, but will settle for anyone who looks like I’d sleep with them).
Also caustic will hopefully be getting all musical with Jon. See if I put that in “print” I can hold him to it.
Return from oblivion
Hello pretties, you will have to bear with me on this post as I haven’t actually decided prior to writing what it is I am saying about this shoot. I’ll start with the basics, seems wise, below is a more fashion oriented edit from an earlier shoot we did with the lovely and put upon Chris. It’s the first edit you will have seen.
Chris is wearing a selection of Caustic hand crafted hats/headdresses, there’s a bit of rabbit and dog bone in there, a lovely selection of black feathers and some third eye gem things, it’s currently how we are rolling.
As I said it’s a fashion oriented edit of what is actually part of a long-term portrait project we are embarking on. Said project has been slow to get going as we have been moving again and moving means shitty or no internet connection for a while. I’m not gonna go into anymore detail about the portrait project as I shall devote the next post to just that. Do take this as a warning though Caustic friends we want your mushes in front of our gold curtain : )
As a point of interest, or not as the case may be, whilst I was wearing the larger feather monstrosity and riding through the village on my bike I was warned not to wear it in the coming weeks. Apparently shooting season is coming up. Some smart Alec also asked where the cowboys are? Now if I knew the answer to that I wouldn’t be blogging, would I readers?

The lonely man is a twisted mule, a feverish elk and a secretly soiled cushion. Grossly embalmed in self pity and laced with a feeling commonly found in the most northern parts of Scotland, bitterness. I will always relate / be / sympathise with this dispirited fallace and hopeless soul. For in lives underdogs, entombed within, there are modest heroes and humble knights atoned with gentry and moral purpose, merely awaiting rectification.
So let’s assume that the aforementioned sentences are merely an attempt of emotional self justification through a bed ridden verse.
I’m still alive, just thought I’d let you know.
